Community Outreach

Community outreach is a chance for volunteers to share their Farmer-to-Farmer experience with friends, family, colleagues and their community. CNFA is ready to assist our volunteers with their community outreach, and we are eager to hear about any activities you undertake!

One of the goals of the Farmer-to-Farmer program is to increase the American public's understanding of international development issues and programs. CNFA asks our volunteers to complete at least eight hours of community outreach upon returning home from their assignments, as a way to participate with us in fulfilling this program goal.

Public outreach can be conducted in a variety of ways and forums. Examples include:

  • Presentations to church or community groups
  • Interviews with local media representatives
  • Publications about volunteer experiences in popular or scientific journals
  • Presentations at local schools or universities, or to 4H or FFA groups
  • Web site publications or blogs

Thank you for helping us spread the word about the important work of our Farmer-to-Farmer program. We look forward to adding your story here:
